NAMES
AND AFFILIATIONS OF BOARD MEMBERS
Islord Allah has been a resident of Over-the-Rhine
for most of his life, and now, at 32, he owns two small
businesses in the community – a barber shop and a clothing
store. He is a visionary who feels strongly that Hip Hop
culture should be infused into education because it has
taught him so much. He sees the Hip Hop Youth Arts Center as
being of utmost importance. Islord is also a child
development psychology major at the University of
Cincinnati, and is goal-oriented and multi-faceted. A person
never limited in creativity, Islord is clearly a true
pioneer for community development in Over-the-Rhine.
Life Allah is a 26-year-old citizen of Over-the-Rhine
and has been for the majority of his life. For two years,
Life has dedicated himself, along with Islord, to developing
two small businesses in the Over-the-Rhine area. Bearing
witness to a lack of police accountability he devoted
himself to the even bigger job of becoming a community
activist. Life was one of the founding members of CONTROL,
and was instrumental in the development of our
police-community relations work. Life does everything out of
respect for the future. He is a proud single father of a
5-year-old son.

housing organization in the neighborhood for over 3 years.
He has committed himself to working with youth on the
