What is Power Players?
Power Players is a leadership program with
emphasis on personal empowerment, political education, critical
thinking and community organizing.
Weekly sessions equip and inspire today’s youth leaders to be a
positive force of change in their communities. These sessions
empower youth to speak out on issues that impact them.
The goals:
1) To educate youth on social,
economic and political issues.
2) To inspire youth leaders of today
to lead the way for social and political change for tomorrow.
3) To equip youth with tools and
capabilities to address issues that affect them.
4) To shine a light on the positive
youth in Cincinnati and show what their efforts can achieve.
Program components include service learning/volunteerism,
personal development, opportunities for travel, community
activism and thinking outside of the box.
