HIP HOP DANCE:

Young people are constantly inventing and creating.
Hip Hop Dance classes are a place for young people to do
plenty of improvising, while also learning everything from
the basics to advanced choreographed routines. Youth
perform for different audiences, in competitions, and are
taught and encouraged to incorporate a wide variety of
styles and techniques. Come on in and we'll get you
into the right class with the instruction you need.
GRAFFITI ART:

In many people’s minds, ‘graffiti’ tends to instantly
translate into ‘vandalism’ or ‘defamation’. Graffiti
is intertwined with Hip-Hop as one of the 4 main elements of
the culture, and can be viewed only as a misunderstood art
form that dates back to ancient times. A medium of
self-expression, graffiti is always provocative. Graffiti
today, is before all else, a culture. At Elementz, we
have one of the best artists in the city to teach the
basics of letter design, wild style, characters,
backgrounds, color schemes and originality.
DJ LESSONS 101:
Those eager to learn this classic hip hop art form will be
schooled on everything from the equipment used by DJs and
how to care for it to beat mixing, scratching, and beat
juggling. Youth will even have the opportunity to
learn other tricks DJs use in battle-type performances.
We have several opportunities for all young people,
regardless of their skill level. We have begun to
amass a respectable collection of records and have enough
equipment to keep everyone happy. And we've got some
of the best DJs in town on the ones & twos.
FREE RECORDING/PRODUCTION STUDIO:
Elementz production/recording studio is equipped with the
latest in production and recording gear. We have a Korg
Triton Le sampling workstation, an Akai MPC 2000XL midi
production center, and an AKG 300 microphone. All tracks are
recorded onto our Pro Tools Le 6.4 recording software, and
everything can be burned to CD.
Along with Elementz high-end recording and production
equipment, we also have in-house producer/engineers that
can assist and train participants on anything from making
beats, to recording and mixing a song. |
